Philippine Racing Commission Participates in the 40th Asian Racing Conference

MANILA – The Philippine Racing Commission (PHILRACOM) proudly announces its successful participation in the 40th Asian Racing Conference (ARC) held in Sapporo, Japan, from August 27 to September 1, 2024. Representing PHILRACOM were Chairman Aurelio P. De Leon and Commissioner Jose S. Embang, who actively engaged in discussions and sessions aimed at advancing the global horse racing industry.
The conference, hosted by the Asian Racing Federation (ARF) and the Japan Racing Association (JRA), brought together leading figures and experts from the racing world to address key issues and share innovative solutions. The event featured multiple sessions over three days, covering topics such as betting, breeding, fan engagement, and finance. The overarching theme was the need for unity, both globally and locally, to enhance the sport.
PHILRACOM’s participation underscores its commitment to fostering international collaboration and adopting best practices to elevate the standards of horse racing in the Philippines. The insights gained from the ARC will be instrumental in shaping future policies and initiatives to ensure the continued growth and sustainability of the sport.
The conference concluded with a keynote speech by ARF Vice-Chairman Masayuki Goto, emphasizing the importance of global harmony in the racing industry. The next ARC will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2026, promising further opportunities for international cooperation and development.
