MANILA – Attention all horse racing enthusiasts! Mark your calendars for August 18, 2024, as the Metro Manila Turf Club Inc. in Malvar, Batangas, hosts the highly anticipated 2024 PHILRACOM A.P. Memorial Race. With a guaranteed prize of PHP 500,000 and a PHP 50,000 breeders purse distributed among the top three finishers, this event promises to be a spectacular showcase of equine excellence.

This special stakes race is held in honor of Dr. Aurelio P. Reyes, former president of Philippine Racing Club and former chairperson of the Asian Racing Conference, recognizing his invaluable contributions to the horse racing industry.

Five exceptional horses from renowned breeders and owners will compete for glory, with crowd favorites Don Julio and Diversity leading the pack. Don Julio, mounted by JT Pabilic and owned by Felizardo Sevilla Jr., secured second place at the Chairman’s Cup. Meanwhile, Diversity, ridden by JT Zarate and owned by Herminio Esguerra, clinched first place at the Chairman’s Cup II.

Other formidable contenders include Easy Does It, handled by JM Estorque and owned by 3VM Builders Inc., who finished second at the Chairman’s Cup II and fourth at the Gran Copa De Manila. Eutychus, controlled by GL Siego Jr. and owned by George Raquidan, claimed third place at the Chairman’s Cup II. Miss Hibiki, steered by YL Bautista and owned by Conrado Ong, finished eighth at the Commissioner’s Cup II.
