The "Bayang Karerista" in the Philippines is witnessing "Blockbuster Sales Era" these past few weeks of 2014. The P179.4M weekly total sales of April 21-27 was the best in the past 24 months from January 2012 to December 2013 with the exclusion of third week December 2013 with P180.3M due to the support of popularly awaited and supported year end stakes races in that week of 2013.
Collectively, the average weekly sales of the past five months or from December 2013 to April 2014 is at P158.4M as against P144.8M on 2012 and P149.5M in 2013.

As the PHILIPPINE RACING COMMISSION celebrates its 40th Milestone Year of unwavering service and commitment to its horseracing industry partners and stakeholders, comes significant accomplishments to mark this Ruby Anniversary.
The kickoff to PHILRACOM's celebration to praise its invaluable achievement was a letter of citation dated March 7, 2014 from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) -Region 8 Revenue District Office. The PHILRACOM was appreciatively commended for consistently being one of the top taxpayers within the Revenue District No. 8; for its continued support to the government tax reform programs; and to the promotion of national prosperity.

The wrath of Typhoon YOLANDA which struck our country last November 8, 2013 particularly the Eastern Visayas region has brought tremendous devastation. Billions of resources, infrastructures and houses were ruined; resulting to thousands of death tolls; and for the survivors, a grueling nightmare to recall.
With the collaborative efforts of the National Government, other Non-Government Organizations and support from the rest of the world, the victims of YOLANDA will resurge and find new hope, for them to live a normal life again.
