 RESOLUTION NO. 17-11
SERIES OF 2011

             WHEREAS, the Philippine Racing Commission (Philracom) has the exclusive jurisdiction and control over all aspects of the conduct of horse racing as provided for under Presidential Decree No. 420;

             WHEREAS, as part of the said mandate, the Philracom has the authority to impose reasonable fees such as riding fees payable to jockeys who participate in Philracom stakes races;

             WHEREAS, the Philracom every so often sponsors stakes races where jockeys participate without being paid any riding fees;

            WHEREAS, it is but just and equitable for jockeys who participate in Philracom stakes races to be paid riding fees at a reasonable amount of Two Hundred Pesos (Php200.00) which will be paid by the participating horse owners on top of the Nomination Fees and will be remitted to the New Philippine Jockeys Association (NPJAI) ;

            NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, that jockeys who participate in Philracom stakes races be paid riding fees at a reasonable amount of Two Hundred Pesos (Php200.00) which will be paid by the participating horse owners on top of the Nomination Fees and will be remitted to the New Philippine Jockeys Association (NPJAI) ;

            RESOLVED FURTHER, that this resolution be published in the Copia and the Official Gazette as well as be furnished the concerned parties for their proper guidance.
